What is the total length of the Queen's Code e-book?

8 Chapters, 94,000 words. The Queen's Code is only available as a e-Book. (But for your reference, if a printed version was produced, it would be more than 300 pages.)


What is the Queen's Code e-book?

It is a fictional story with homework and assignments that you can complete alongside the main character Kimberlee, as she learns The Queen's Code.


I purchased The Queen's Code, but when and where do I get my book?

Chapter 1 is available now (as a PDF) by logging into your paid account, and clicking on "Chapter 1" Tab in the main Navigation Menu. You can download it from there.

The rest of the chapters are available in The Queen's Code Online Reader in Download Center.


How do I access my Online Reader?

Click "Log In" in the upper-right corner, then click "Chapter 1" to access the Reader.


Is this a Beta version of the site?

Yes! You are participating in a exclusive beta launch of The Queen's Code. Although it is a Beta, we are delivering 100% of what we are planning. We anticipate everything to work smoothly, and if we hit a glitch here or there, errors in spelling, dead links, etc... we will fix it. Heck, we might make a mistake or two. I don't have a computer. Where can I buy The Queen's Code in regular book form?

The Queen's Code is currently only available as an online eBook experience. If you do not have a computer, you will not be able to read and enjoy it. We recommend that you not purchase it at this time. We expect to have a traditional, printed book available in the summer of 2013.


Can I purchase The Queen's Code by phone?

No, purchase of The Queen's Code is only available online. The Queen's Code is an online eBook experience that requires a basic level of computer proficiency. If you are not able to complete your purchase online, participating in The Queen's Code is likely to be a consistently troublesome and frustrating experience. We would recommend that you wait to purchase the traditional, printed book which we anticipate will be available in 2013.

How can I view my order and correct or change a recipient or email address on a Gift Certificate I purchased?

Please follow these instructions (skip the steps you've already completed):

* Click "ACCOUNT" link in the upper-right corner
* Log In when prompted (see "I cannot log in, what do I do?" if you have issues here)
* Click "Order History" on the gray horizontal bar
* Click the number in "Order ID" column (there are also helpful notes)
* If any lines say "Gift Certificate for The Queen's Code" and have "RESEND NOW" link that means the gift certificate recipients have not redeemed them yet. If you see the "Gift Certificate" line(s) but do not see "RESEND NOW" link next to them, that means those have already been redeemed

To resend the gift certificate email to the same recipient or to change the recipient
* Click "RESEND NOW" link. If you want to change the recipient's email, enter the new email address in the resulting popup window and click OK. If you don't want to change it, simply click OK.
* The recipient will receive the same email we sent when you made your original purchase. It contains simple instructions on how to redeem the gift certificates. Once you complete the instructions, you are in. Please remember the message may end up in the recipient's SPAM folder


I bought the membership but can only see Chapter 1!

The most likely reason you are unable to see any chapters past Chapter 1 is that, instead of buying an instant individual membership for yourself, you have purchased a gift certificate and have not redeemed it yet. Here is how to verify and correct this situation:

* Search your email for a message with a subject of "sent you a gift certificate" or just "gift certificate". The message may be in the SPAM folder
* That email has complete instructions on redeeming the gift code. Finish those steps and you are in!

In case you do not find the message, you can resend it to yourself

* Visit http://www.queenscode.com/
* Click "ACCOUNT" link in the upper-right corner
* Log In when prompted (see "I cannot log in, what do I do?" if you have issues here)
* Click "Order History" on the gray horizontal bar
* Click the number in "Order ID" column (there are also helpful notes)
* Read the instructions about gift redemption. Also, you can scroll down to find the details of your order
* If you see "Gift Certificate for The Queen's Code" line AND see "RESEND NOW" link, that means you have an unused gift certificate. If you purchased more than one gift certificate but do not see "RESEND NOW" link next to any of them, that means those have been redeemed
* Click "RESEND NOW" to receive the same email we sent when you made your purchase. As we mentioned before, the email contains simple instructions on how to redeem the gift certificates. Once you complete the instructions, you are in


How do I print the book?

Please follow these instructions (skip the steps you've already completed)

* Click "Chapter 1" button, then log in
* Expand the latest chapter menu and click "Download Center"
* On the bottom click "I'm an expert. Just show me the files" button
* Then click "Download PDF" button and print the resulting file


I cannot log in, what do I do?

If you have problems logging into The Queen's Code website, please follow these steps to obtain your username or to reset your password:

* Click "Log In" button in the upper-right corner
* If you need to obtain your username, click "Forgot Username" link, enter your email address and click "Submit".
* If you know your username but do not remember your password, click "Forgot Password?", enter your username and click "Submit"
* As long as we have your correct email address, you will receive further instructions in the email
* Please follow those instructions to complete the process and gain access to the website


I use Firefox and have troubles viewing website videos

Some of our Mozilla Firefox users have encountered problems viewing the videos: the videos do not show up at all or do not play (some may also report crashes.)

(Note that, as of 11/01/2012, "Solution 1: Update Flash" did not work well in our testing, while "Solution 2: Downgrade to Flash 10.3" was much more effective.)


How do I read the book? I have not received any chapters in email!

We do not send the chapters by email. You may receive an occasional reminder that a new chapter has become available with a link to our website.

Here is how you can read The Queen's Code eBook (please skip the steps which you've already completed):

* In case you have not yet, please purchase the access to the program. We hope you already did, of course because you have to become a participant to read the complete book
* Visit http://www.queenscode.com/
* Click "Log In" button in the upper-right corner and log in using your username and password. If you had a PAX account and created a new account for The Queen's Code you must login using your new Queen's Code username and password.
* Click on large blue "Chapter 1" button at the top, that will get you to the Reader (only available to Participants)
* Click on any of the currently available Chapters, then click "Read Chapter" and you are on your way!

Please remember that while you may receive a reminder that a new chapter is available, you can only read the book on the website and download the files to read offline. We do not send individual chapter files or chapter links in the email.

How do I start a book club (Live Interaction event)?

You must be a participant (please skip the steps you've already completed):

* Visit http://www.queenscode.com/
* Click/tap "Log In" link (upper-right) and log in using your credentials
* Click/tap on "READ: The Queen's Code eBook" link
* Click/tap the latest chapter menu to expand it
* Click/tap "Live Interaction" submenu, then scroll down and press the big blue "Didn't find a group for you? Create your own book club here" button
* Fill out the form and click "Create Event" button
* Review the event details (modify if necessary) and you are done!
* Your event will now appear in relevant search results


I downloaded my e-Book onto my computer and mobile devices, are they still available to me after Dec 7th?

Yes! If you downloaded your e-book onto other devices, you will continue to have access to the e-book on those devices until you delete them.
